District 60 Classified Staff Award nominee: Chris Romero

This week, Pueblo School District 60 is unveiling its nominees for the 2020 Classified Staff of the Year Awards. Thirteen outstanding classified staff in District 60 were nominated by parents and colleagues, and endorsed by their principals. The winners will be announced Tuesday, June 23.

From his nomination letter:
"Christopher Romero is one of the hardest working and dedicated employees in Pueblo School District 60. His attention to detail, commitment and integrity makes him a perfect candidate for this honor. Chris goes above and beyond in all his work and always puts student safety above everything else. He is humble and never seeks recognition for his hard work but his attention to detail and knowledge in his trade makes him a valuable asset to District 60. He is a strong backbone in assisting students, teachers, and administration in providing a quality teaching environment. He is extremely effective and efficient in all that he does."

"Christopher's work ethic is contagious and inspiring to all that he meets. He is intrinsically
motivated and his work is of such quality it will be long-lasting and self-sustaining. He really sets the bar high for others to strive towards."

"Christopher Romero's work is essential and keeps our schools up and running. His extraordinary work keeps his schools safe and efficient. Most importantly, he strives to improve the lives of our teachers and students every day. He listens with an open mind and will share his expertise when asked. He makes sure our students are learning in a safe and supportive learning environment. Since Christopher's job happens behind the scenes, he is often overlooked and under appreciated."

Chris Romero is one of 13 nominees in District 60 for a Classified Staff Award.
