Elementary Education

Welcome to the Department of Elementary Education. Currently we have 22 elementary schools serving students in grades K-12. This includes two PreK-8 programs, a K-3 IB school, a 4-8 IB school, as well as two charter schools. We take great pride in the excellent educational program provided through our elementary schools. We are committed to striving for high academic achievement and positive social emotional development of our students.

Pueblo City Elementary Schools have been recognized repeatedly by President Bush, US Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings, and Colorado Governor Ritter for our success in closing the 'achievement gap' for minority and lower income students. Many of our schools have been recognized for their performance.
