Title III - English Learners

Title III is the portion of Every Student Succeeds Act that serves English as a Second Language Students. Through Title III, students who have a primary language other than English receive instruction in English in a specialized setting.

Pueblo City Schools currently provides services to approximately 1163 students within our schools.

Our objective is to enable limited English proficient students to become competent in the comprehension, speaking, reading and composition of the English language through the integrated use of second language methods. The English as a Second Language program emphasizes the mastery of English language skills, mathematics, science and social studies, as an integral part of the academic goals for all students to enable limited English proficient students to participate equitably in school.
