Setting Your Web Browser to Allow Pop-Ups

Most internet browsers are set to block pop-up windows by default due to the security risk pop-ups pose. However, in some cases you need to allow pop-ups. This is true when using the School Choice website. Before starting your application, you will need to change your browser’s settings to allow pop-ups for Pueblo City Schools.

How to allow pop-ups for Pueblo City Schools web pages

Chrome

1.   Open the Chrome web browser

2.   At the top right, click the button with the three dots (When you hover your mouse over the three dots, you’ll see the label, “Customize and Control Google Chrome.”)

3.  Click Settings from the menu

4.  Scroll to the bottom and click Show advanced settings.

5.  Under "Privacy," click Content settings.

6.  Under “Pop-ups,” click Manage exceptions.

7.  Under "Hostname pattern," enter    *.pueblocityschools.us

8.  Under "Behavior," select Allow

9.  Click “Done”


Mozilla Firefox

1.    Open the Mozilla Firefox web browser

2.    At the top right, click the button with the three lines.  (When you hover your mouse over the three lines, you’ll see the label, “Open Menu.”)

3.    Click Options

4.    In the left panel, click Content

5.    Under “Pop-ups,” click Exceptions

6.    Under “Address of website,” enter   *.pueblocityschools.us

7.    Click Allow

8.    Click Save Changes

 

Internet Explorer (found on Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers)

1.    Open the Internet Explorer web browser

2.   At the top right, click the gear button. (When you hover your mouse over the gear, you’ll see the label, “Tools.”)

3.   Click Internet Options

4.   Click the “Privacy” tab at the top

5.   Under “Pop-up Blocker,” click Settings

6.   Under “Address of website to allow,” enter   *.pueblocityschools.us

7.   Click Add

8.   Click Close

 

Safari (found on Macintosh computers)

1.      Open the Safari web browser

2.     Click Safari in the upper left corner, near the Apple symbol

3.     Click Preferences

4.     Under “Advanced” (top of the window), click Security

5.     Under “Web Content,” uncheck the box for “Block pop-up windows”

 

Microsoft Edge (found on Windows 10 computers)

1.      Open the Microsoft Edge web browser

2.     At the top right, click the three dots (When you hover your mouse over the three dots, you’ll see the label, “More actions.”)

3.     Click Settings

4.     Under “Advanced Settings,” click View Advanced Settings

5.     Under “Block Pop-ups,” click the blue slider to turn Block Pop-ups Off

6.     Under “Address of website to allow,” enter   *.pueblocityschools.us

7.     Click Add

8.     Click Close
